Santa Fe Playhouse Historic Plaza LocationThe Santa Fe Playhouse is located at 142 East DeVargas Street in the Barrio de Analco. The Barrio is one of the oldest neighborhoods in America, settled in the early 1600's by the Mexican Indians and Spanish Colonists. The neighborhood is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Three blocks from the Plaza, the Playhouse is an easy walk from downtown Santa Fe.
Driving directions: Drive down Alameda Street (which borders the River Park) to the four way stop sign at Don Gasper. Turn south, away from the Plaza, and go over the River Bridge. Take an immediate left into what appears to be the Capital Parking area (you will see a blue handicap parking sign with an arrow saying "Capital Parking"). You are now driving towards The Old Santa Fe Trail - you will see Upper Crust Pizza and The Oldest Church at the end of the street. The theatre is located in the middle of the block on the right hand side. There is NO THEATRE PARKING on East De Vargas Street during the day; after 6:00 PM weekdays, and on weekends, unless otherwise noted, the state parking lots are often available to the public. Parking is also available at the various parking meters and parking structures on the surrounding streets.
