Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona
The theme for the 2023 Season’s New Play Reading Series centers around WATER
Plays will be presented on Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28, 2023, with audience choice encores on Sunday, January 29, 2023
The selection committee will consist of a diverse group of theater-makers who reflect New Mexico’s rich diversity
For the 2023 edition we accepted 10-15 min plays

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- There are no fees to submit or participate. Admission to the reading series will also be free of charge
- Plays must center around the theme of WATER (can be as literal or as imaginative as the theme takes you)
- Writers must live in New Mexico or bordering states (Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona).
- Plays must be 10-15 min in length
- Only accepting blind submissions. Playwright’s name should not be reflected anywhere in the document
- Accepting PDF formats
- Plays with five or fewer characters preferred
- Plays that have not been produced in New Mexico in the last three years are preferred
