Christopher must solve the mystery of the death of his neighbor’s dog’s—Wellington, speared to death with a garden fork. Exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life, 15-year-old Christopher is determined to solve the mystery; his detective work takes him on a thrilling journey that upturns his world.
For the fifth production of its 2018 “Finding Our Way” season—a series of stories about finding our way through the noise of the modern world and moving toward a more actualized, honest self—The Santa Fe Playhouse presents The Curious Incident of the Dog at Night-time, Winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best Play.
Vaugh Irving, artistic director, says, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a hero’s journey. It is about overcoming adversity, shaking off the traumas of the past, and embracing the challenges of the future. Finding your way through the trials and tribulations of life is a universal experience, and that’s why it makes for great art. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will take you into a familiar world, but make you see it all in a new way, and hopefully help you see your own way through.”
