It is our vision to be the driving force in establishing Santa Fe as a destination for quality engaging theatre.

 

Staff

VAUGHN IRVING (Artistic Director) has worked in professional theatre since 2004. Originally from right here in Santa Fe, Vaughn is a graduate of Santa Fe High School and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University. Vaughn has acted, directed, written, and produced over 50 productions in seven states and the District of Columbia. His original musicals Disco Jesus and the Apostles of Funk, and You or Whatever I Can Get both won awards at the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC. Vaughn is a member of the teaching faculty at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, a company member of Flying V Theatre and Crash of Rhinos Productions, and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

 

JENNIE LEWIS (Theater Manager) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Bard College and a Masters in International Art Crime Studies and Cultural Heritage Protection from ARCA. During her college years, she wrote a few little plays, one of which was selected for a Benchwarmers. After many years in the art administration world, she returned to the theater to be surrounded by people who love what they do!

 

MICHAEL BLAKE OLDHAM (Technical Director) New to the Santa Fe area, Michael began his theatre career in Amarillo, Texas as an actor with Avenue 10 Theatre Co. Through his time at Avenue 10 Michael developed his skills as a Lighting, Sound and Scenic Designer. His dedication lead to him designing and directing two of his own productions, Evil Dead the Musical and A Clockwork Orange. His background in carpentry, and electronics served him well as he began larger projects and begun to study the art of faux finishing and advanced painting techniques. Last year, Michael began work on a degree in Theatrical Design at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas before transferring to The Santa Fe University of Art and Design.

Santa Fe Playhouse Board Kelly Huertas

KELLY HUERTAS (President) holds a BFA in Dramatic Arts from the University of Georgia, and experience of a decade in New York City acting in theatre and television. She continues her education with multiple writing residencies. Whether on stage or in the wings, she has been an active participant at the Playhouse since 2009. She also assists with the Candyman Summer Music programs, Desert Academy Sports and is a member of the Dramatists Guild. She works as a pastry chef, alongside her husband David, who is the chef/owner of El Meson Restaurant.

Santa Fe Playhouse Andy Primm

ANDY PRIMM (Secretary) is a writer, producer, director, actor, videographer, and multi-instrumentalist and a native of Santa Fe. He has worked in TV, movies, on the stage and has toured internationally.

Santa Fe Playhouse - Carla Garcia

CARLA GARCIA is very excited to be one of the newest Board Members of the Santa Fe Playhouse and looks forward to the adventures ahead. You may recognize her from the Santa Fe Community Foundation where she works as the HUB and Communications Associate, or in her various (offstage) roles with the local theater community. In Santa Fe, she has stage-managed for the Santa Fe Playhouse, Ironweed Productions, DNAWORKS, Teatro Paraguas, Wise Fool, and Z-Productions. She has also worked with Just Say It Theater, Recuerdos Vivos, and Theater Grottesco among others.

KENT KIRKPATRICK received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, and has taught and served on the faculty at University of California—San Diego, University of California—Irvine, University of Delaware, American Academy of Dramatic Arts West, and Oxford University. Kent is an actor, director and producer in theater, film and television. Recently, he taught in the Film School at Santa Fe University of Art and Design.

MICHELLE V. PADILLA is employed with Los Alamos National Bank as a Vice President and Regional Branch Manager for the past 24 years.
