Penelope is excited by the level of legitimate theater that the Playhouse is bringing to Santa Fe, the one area lacking in the rich cultural makeup that drew her husband and her to make this their home. Her professional history has been as an art curator. She joined the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Department of Western European Art and went on to develop the field now known as Design for the 20th Century Art Department. Subsequently she worked with her husband’s family art gallery in New York creating exhibitions that received wide attention and acclaim in the NY Times. She returned to the museum world as Curator of European Art at the Portland Art Museum (OR), organizing major international exhibitions from Russia, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany. She has also served on the Santa Fe Arts Commission and is a long-time volunteer tutor in Santa Fe Public Schools.
