We are a professional theatre producing 5 to 6 fully staged productions each year, the annual Fiesta Melodrama, as well as readings and other special events and presentations. We offer a dynamic and flexible working environment.

Santa Fe Playhouse 2026 Season
The Santa Fe Playhouse is now accepting submissions of interest from creative professionals,
technicians, and musicians for our 2026 Mainstage Season.
We invite theatre artists of all backgrounds and experiences to join us in creating a vibrant year
of bold, thought-provoking, and entertaining productions in America’s oldest continuously
running theatre.

POTUS – Mainstage Comedy
March 19 – April 12
A farce following seven powerful women trying to save the world — and the President — from
disaster.
At the Wake of a Dead Drag Queen – Mainstage Dark Comedy
May 7 – May 31
A vibrant, heartfelt story celebrating drag, love, and the resilience of Black queer identity.
Cabaret – Mainstage Musical
July 9 – July 26
Step into 1930s Berlin’s Kit Kat Klub for this legendary musical about love, politics, and the
dangers of complacency.
Bad Medicine – World Premiere Horror Comedy
August 6 – August 30
A darkly funny and chilling new play exploring identity, academia, and supernatural secrets in
small-town Massachusetts.
The 104th Annual Melodrama – Mainstage Musical Comedy
October 8 – October 25
An original Santa Fe tradition featuring local humor, song, and high-energy comedy.

November 19 – December 20
Stephen Sondheim’s modern classic exploring relationships, love, and the meaning of
connection.
Creative Team Submissions
We are seeking expressions of interest from creative collaborators in the following areas:

Crew Submissions
We are also seeking technical and backstage crew members in the following areas:

Overhire Opportunities
The Santa Fe Playhouse frequently seeks overhire crew members to assist with load-ins and
strikes throughout the season. We are especially interested in applicants with electrics or
carpentry experience who are available for short-term or project-based work.
If you have experience in technical theatre and are interested in joining our overhire list, please
submit your résumé and note your areas of expertise and availability.
Musicians
We will be hiring pit musicians for our 2026 musicals Cabaret and Company.

We are looking for people to fill volunteer positions from ushers, to administrative support and marketing work.
PLAY SUBMISSIONS.
We welcome submissions from playwrights, literary agents, and theatre colleagues with whom we have professional relationships. We encourage you to learn more about our mission and recent production history to determine if your work would be a good fit.
